When measurement data drives key manufacturing decisions, ensuring consistency across systems is critical. This one-day workshop goes beyond traditional GR&R studies to equip students with practical statistical tools for validating measurement results, correlating data across systems, and maintaining process control. Through hands-on exercises and real-world examples, you’ll learn how to confidently assess measurement reliability and avoid costly errors in production.
Key Topics Covered:
- Establishing a Baseline: Analyzing a sample part for size, form, and location using multiple methods
- Gage Capability Assessment: Exploring quick repeatability tests, GR&R studies, and uncertainty budgets
- Implementing the Measurement Process: Managing ongoing data collection and validation
- Metrology Matching: Ensuring measurement consistency between suppliers, customers, and internal systems
- Stastical Process Monitoring: Utilizing basic tools for process control and final acceptance decisions
The course will use Excel-based statistical analysis tools with some inexpensive statistical add-ins as well as a look at commonly used tools like Mini Tab and QC-CALC.
Includes course materials, certificate of completion, and lunch.
