Quick overview of the factors of measurement uncertainty and how to control them

Achieving traceability to national standards (NIST)

Overview of calibration terminology & documentation and the value of data retention

Overview of working standards for measurement and test equipment calibration

Proper handling and care of gage blocks

Review of English/Metric measurement terminology

Interpreting flatness and parallelism in micrometers using optical parallels and a mono-chromatic light source

Overview of Calibration procedures and tolerances for Measuring and Test Equipment

Calibration labels and stickers; establishing  calibration frequencies

Review of precision measurement: class exercises
