• Overview of calibration terminology & documentation and the value of data retention

• Overview of working standards for measurement and test equipment calibration

• Proper handling and care of gage blocks

• Review of English/Metric measurement terminology

• Interpreting flatness and parallelism in micrometers using optical parallels and a mono-chromatic light source

• Overview of Calibration procedures and tolerances for Measuring and Test Equipment

• Calibration labels and stickers; establishing  calibration frequencies

• Review of precision measurement: class exercises
